NOTIFICATION

No. GA&EL. 1/5830/2011. 15th November 2013.

Ref:—1. Notification No. GA & EL. 1/Senate Election/2010 dated 14-2-2011.

2. Notification No. EL. 17(1)/2008 dated 9-12-2011.

3. Letter dated 19-7-2013 and submission dated 12-8-2013 from Sri Tony Raphy.

4. Letter No. DEFL/7/Courses/2013/654 dated 12-8-2013 from the Head, Department of English and Foreign Languages.

Considering the above, the Vice-Chancellor has accorded sanction that Sri Tony Raphy, Student, Department of English and Foreign Languages, Cochin University of Science and Technology shall continue in the Senate and the Syndicate of the University by virtue of the provisions contained in the proviso to Section 20 (2) of Cochin University of Science and Technology Act, 1986. The term of his office will be subject to the provisions of the Cochin University of Science and Technology Act, 1986 (31 of 1986).

As per Notification read at (1) and (2) above Sri Tony Raphy was elected to the Senate and subsequently nominated by the Government to the Syndicate. At the time of his nomination he was a student of B. Tech. Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Semester III) in School of Engineering. He completed the course in April 2013. Subsequently Sri Tony Raphy has informed vide letter read at (3) that he has joined one year Certificate Course in French on 16-7-2013 and submitted a Certificate read at (4) above from Head, Department of English and Foreign Languages and has requested the Vice-Chancellor to permit him to continue in the Senate and Syndicate.
