In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 14 (1) of the Criminal Procedure Code 1973 (Act 2 of 1974), the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kozhikode, hereby defines the local limits of the area within which the Chief Judicial Magistrate and Judicial First Class Magistrates whose names are specified in column I of the schedule given below may exercise all or any of the powers vested on them as Chief Judicial Magistrate or Judicial Magistrate of First Class by the Code and by the High Court, in the local area specified under column No. III of the said schedule with effect from thedate of this notification. This notification is issued in consequence to the approval of Hon'ble High Court of Kerala to confer the jurisdiction over City Traffic Police Station, Kozhikode, with the Court of Judicial First Class Magistrate-VI (Marad Cases), Kozhikode. 5th May 2009 KERALA GAZETTE 102 SCHEDULE
