In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 13 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, (Central Act 2 of 1974), the High Court of Kerala hereby;

(i) Confers upon Shri K. A. Vasudevan, Kunnath House, P. O. Vadanamkurussi, Via.

Shornur, Palakkad-679 214, all the powers conferred upon a Magistrate of the First Class under the said Code in respect of all cases of persons travelling without a proper pass or ticket over any part of the Southern Railway within the of and inclusive of Tirur, or committing in any part of the said Railway in the said area, any of the offences falling under Sections 137 to 139, 141 and 142, 144 to 147, 155 to 157, 159, 162, 163, 166 and 167 of the Indian Railways Act, 1989 (Central Act 24 of 1989)

(ii) Appoints the said Shri K. A. Vasudevan as Honorary Special Judicial Magistrate of Second Class (Railways) Shornur for a period of one year with effect from the date of assumption of charge and

(iii) Further confers upon him under Section 261 of the said Code, the powers to try summarily the offences set out earlier.

In exercise of the powers conferred by the sub-section (1)

of Section 14 of the Code of the Criminal Procedure 1973

(Act 3 of 1974) the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Thrissur

hereby defines the areas shown in Column II of the

Schedule to be the local areas within which the persons

mentioned in Column No. I of the Schedule hereunder

Ollur Railway P. S., Thrissur Mannuthy Nedupuzha Vanitha P. S., Thrissur City (offences arising within the limits of Thrissur East, West, Nedupuzha, Ollur, Mannuthy, Viyyur and Peechi Police Stations) (Cases coming under Section 260 of Cr. P.C. within the above Police Station limits made over by the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Thrissur)

may exercise all or any of the powers which may

be invested under the code for the period from

(Sd.) 1-1-2015 to 31-1-2015.
