The High Court of Kerala will remain closed for the Onam Holidays, 2015 from 24-8-2015 to 30-8-2015 (both days inclusive) as already notified. The Vacation Court sitting during the Onam Holidays shall be on 25-8-2015.

Matters to be moved before the Vacation Judge/ Bench may be filed in the Filing Section of the Registry between 10.15 a. m. and 1.30 p. m. on all days except Sundays and other public holidays. Unless otherwise directed by the Vacation Judge/Bench, no matter shall be sent to the Judge/Bench on the same day of its filing.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 13 of the Code of Criminal procedure, 1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974) the High Court of Kerala hereby:
(ii)
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 260 of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973, the High Court of Kerala hereby specifically empowers the Judicial Magistrates of the First Class mentioned in Column (1) of the Schedule hereto attached to try in a summary way all the offences mentioned in the said sub-section.

Thejomayi Devi, Krishna Thejas, Chulliparambil, CC 23/1051, Opp. St. Dominic School, Palluruthy Veli, Kochi-6 all the powers conferred upon a Magistrate of the Second Class under the said Code in regard to cases generally arising in the corporation area of Ernakulam District and empowers her to try such cases sitting singly in the said area;
(ii) Appoints the said Smt. A. Thejomayi Devi, as Honorary Special Judicial Magistrate of the Second Class-I, Ernakulam for a period of one year with effect from 11-9-2015;
(iii) Further confers upon her under Section 261 of the said Code, the powers to try summarily the offences set out earlier.
