In exercise of the powers conferred by section 11 (3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973, the High Court of Kerala hereby appoints the person mentioned in Column (1) of the following schedule to be Judicial Magistrate of First Class to preside over the Court specified against her name in Column (2) from the dates she take charge and empowers her to try, in a summary way, all the offences mentioned in sub Section (1) of Section 260 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 13 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974), the High Court of Kerala hereby:
(i) Appoints Sri N. Venugopalan Nair T. C. 22/773(1), Ambadi, Attukal, Manacaud P. O., Thiruvananthapuram as Honorary Special Judicial Magistrate of the Second Class, Thiruvananthapuram for the period from the date of assumption of charge as such till 30-9-2020.
(ii) Confers upon the said Sri N.Venugopalan Nair all the powers conferred upon a Magistrate of the 30th OCT. 2018] JUDICIAL DEPARTMENT 168 (iii) Further confers upon him under Section 261 of the said Code, the powers to try summarily, the offences set out earlier.
