Read:—Notification No. B4(A)-113479/2018 dated 10-1-2020 the Hon'ble High Court of Kerala.
In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 14 (1) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974), the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kozhikode, hereby defines the area specified under Column II of the schedule shown hereunder be the local area with which the Magistrate mentioned under Column I of the Schedule may exercise all any of the powers with which he has been invested by the Hon'ble High Court of Kerala and the Criminal Procedure Code for a period of one year with effect from 23-1-2020.

Sub:—Honorary Special Judicial Magistrate of Second Class (Railway), Kozhikode—Conferring of powers U/s 190 (2) Cr. PC. 1973—Notification issued.
Read:—Notification No. B4(A)-113479/2018 dated 10-1-2020 the Hon'ble High Court of Kerala.
In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 2 of Section 190 of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974), the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kozhikode, hereby specifically empowers the person appointed by the Hon'ble High Court of Kerala as Honorary Special Judicial Magistrate of Second Class (Railway), Kozhikode as per the Notification read above, whose name is mentioned under Column I of the Schedule shown below for a period of one year with effect from 23-1-2020 to take cognizance of those offences U/s 190(1) of the Criminal Procedure Code which are within his competence to inquire into or try and which are shown under Column II of the said schedule.
(a) Upon receiving a complaint of facts which constitutes such offences.
(b) Upon a Police report of such case.
(c) Upon information received from any person, other than a Police Officer or upon his own knowledge, that such offence has been committed.

Sri Purushothaman, All the powers conferred on a Magistrate of First Class under the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973 in respect Puthalath (H), of offences relating to all cases of persons travelling Elathur (P.O.), Kozhikode, without a proper pass or ticket over any part of Honorary Special Judicial Southern Railway within the Kozhikode Revenue District Magistrate of Second Class or committing over any part of the said Railway in the above said area, any of the offences (Railway), Kozhikode falling U/s 137 to 139, 141 & 142, 144 to 147, 155 to 157, 159, 162, 163, 166 and 167 of the Indian Railway Act 1989 (Central Act 24 of 1989).
