NOTIFICATION

WHEREAS, as per clause (4) of rule 67 of the Kerala Co-operative Societies Rules, 1969, the Presiding Officer of the Co-operative Arbitration Court shall be an advocate having not less than seven years bar experience and
2who shall be appointed by Government for a period of three years;
AND WHEREAS, the Government have appointed Sri. N.P. Mahaboob, S/o Abdulla, Nherapoyil (H), P.O. Muduvana, Via. Payyoli Angadi, Calicut as the Presiding Officer of the Co-operative Arbitration Court (Northern), for a period of three years in pursuance of notification issued under G.O. (P)No.33/2017/Co-op. dated 24th June, 2017 and published as S.R.O.No.387/2017 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.1383 dated 1st July, 2017 and the term was extended for a further period of three years from 24th June, 2020 to 23rd June, 2023 in pursuance of notification issued under G.O. (P)No.68/2020/Co-op. dated 10th August, 2020 and published as S.R.O.No.495/2020 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.1810 dated 11th August, 2020 and the term was extended for a further period of six months from 24th June, 2023 to 23rd December, 2023 in pursuance of notification issued under G.O.(P)No.156/2023/Co-op. dated 24th June, 2023 and published as S.R.O.No.715/2023 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.2133 dated 24th June, 2023 and the said term expired on 23rd December, 2023;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred under section 70A of the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act, 1969 (Act 21 of 1969) read with rule 67 of the Kerala Co-operative Societies Rules, 1969 the Government of Kerala hereby appoint Sri. N.P. Mahaboob, S/o Abdulla, Nherapoyil (H), P.O. Muduvana, Via. Payyoli Angadi, Calicut, as the Presiding Officer of the Co- operative Arbitration Court (Northern) for a further period of six months from 24th December, 2023 to 23rd June 2024 or till a new officer is appointed in the post whichever is earlier.

3Explanatory Note

Payyoli Angadi, Calicut as the Presiding Officer of the Co-operative Arbitration Court (Southern) for a period of three years in pursuance of notification issued under G.O.(P)No.33/2017/Co-op. dated 24th June, 2017 and published as S.R.O.No.387/2017 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.1383 dated 1st July, 2017 and extended for a further period of three years from 24th June, 2020 to 23rd June, 2023 in pursuance of notification issued under G.O.(P)No.68/2020/Co-op. dated 10th August, 2020 and published as S.R.O.No.495/2020 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.1810 dated 11th August, 2020 and the term was extended for a further period of six months from 24th June, 2023 to 23rd December, 2023 in pursuance of notification issued under G.O.(P)No.156/2023/Co-op. dated 24th June, 2023 and published as S.R.O.No.715/2023 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.2133 dated 24th June, 2023 the said term expired on 23rd December, 2023. Now, Government have decided to appoint Sri. N.P. Mahaboob, S/o Abdulla, Nherapoyil (H), P.O. Muduvana, Via. Payyoli Angadi, Calicut as the Presiding Officer of the Co- operative Arbitration Court (Northern) for a further period of six months from 24th December, 2023 to 23rd June 2024 or till a new officer is appointed in the post whichever is earlier.
The notification is intended to achieve the above object.
