In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section (8) of section 24 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974) read with sub-rules (2), (3) and (4) of rule 11 of the Kerala Government Law Officers (Appointment and Conditions of Service) and Conductof Cases Rules, 1978, the Government of Kerala hereby appoint Shri Moideen. P.C, Advocate, Roll No. K/258/1986, M/s PCM Associates, Behind PWD Office, Court Road, Manjeri, This is a digitally signed Gazette. 2 Malappuram 676 121 as Special Public Prosecutor for the conduct of prosecution in Crime No. 38/2013 of Vengara Police Station, Malappuram District (Sessions Case No. 449/2014 on the

file of Additional Sessions Court-III, Manjeri) on payment of fees prescribed in item 10 of rule 32 of the Kerala Government Law Officers (Appointment and Conditions of Service) and Conduct of Cases Rules, 1978.

Explanatory Note

(This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general purport.)

The Registrar (District Judiciary), High Court of Kerala requested the Government to take urgent steps for the appointment of Special Public Prosecutor in S.C.No. 449/2014 of Additional Sessions Court-III, Manjeri, as the case is a ten year old matter and Advocate Shri K Rajendran, Kavottil House, Pookkottur, Manjeri who was appointed as Special Public Prosecutor in the said case reportedly expired on 14.02.2020.

Hence the Government considers it necessary to appoint Shri Moideen. P.C., Advocate, Roll No. K/258/1986, M/s PCM Associates, Behind PWD Office, Court Road, Manjeri, Malappuram- 676 121 as Special Public Prosecutor for the conduct of prosecution in Crime No. 38/2013 of Vengara Police Station, Malappuram District (Sessions Case No. 449/2014 on the file of Additional Sessions Court-III, Manjeri) on payment of fees prescribed in item 10 of rule 32 of the Kerala Government Law Officers (Appointment and Conditions of Service) and Conduct of Cases Rules, 1978.

The notification is intended to achieve the above object.
