WHEREAS, under sub-section (1) of section 33 of the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act,1969 (21 of 1969), the term of an administrator or an administrative committee appointed to manage the affairs of a society shall not exceed one year in the aggregate;
AND WHEREAS, the said term of one year of the administrative committee appointed
2 under sub-section (1) of section 33 of the said Act to manage the affairs of the TrikkulamGovernment U.P. School Co-operative Society Limited No. M. 117 in Malappuram District expired on13th September, 2021;
AND WHEREAS, under sub-section (1 A) of section 33 of the said Act, the Government may, by notification in the Gazette, for reasons to be recorded permit the Registrar of Co-operative Societies to extend the term of the said administrator or administrative committee appointed to manage the affairs of the society for a further period not exceeding one year in the aggregate or till a newly elected committee enters upon office, whichever is earlier;
AND WHEREAS, the term of the administrative committee of the said society was extended for a further period of one year from 14th September 2021 to 13th September, 2022; in pursuance of notification issued under G.O(P)No.167/2022/Co-op. dated 22nd September, 2022and published as S.R.O No.959/2022 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.3441 dated 7thOctober, 2022, and the period so extended also expired on 13 th September, 2022;
AND WHEREAS, the Registrar of Co-operative Societies has reported that the election to the Board of Directors of the said society could not be conducted within the extended period and has requested to extend the term of the administrative committee for a further period of two years from 14th September 2022 to 13th September 2024 or till a newly elected committee enters upon office, whichever is earlier, to avoid administrative vacuum in the said society;
AND WHEREAS, the Government have examined the matter in detail and are satisfied that it is necessary, in public interest, to direct the provisions of sub section (1A) of section 33 of said Act shall apply to the said society with certain modifications and to permit the Registrar of Co-operative Societies to extend the term of the administrative committee appointed to manage the affairs of the said society for a further period of two years from 14 th September 2022 to 13th September 2024 or till a newly elected committee enters upon office, whichever is earlier;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 101 of the Kerala
3Co-operative Societies Act, 1969 (21 of 1969), the Government of Kerala herebydirect the provisions of sub-section (1A) of section 33 of the said Act shall apply to the Trikkulam Government U.P. School Co-operative Society Limited. No. M. 117 with modification of substituting the words "three years" for a word "one year" and in exercise of the powers under sub-section(1A) of section 33 of the said Act, as so modified, permit the Registrar of Co-operative Societies to extend the term of the administrative committee appointed under sub-section (1A)of section 33 of the said Act to manage the affairs of the said society for a further period of two years from 14th September 2022 to 13th September 2024 or till a newly elected committee enters upon office, whichever is earlier, to avoid administrative vacuum in the said society.

The term of the administrative committee appointed under sub-section (1) of section 33of the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act, 1969 (21 of 1969) to manage the affairs of the Trikkulam Government U.P. School Co-operative Society Limited No. M. 117 in Malappuram District expired on 13th September 2021. The term of the administrative committee of the said society was extended for a further period of one year from 14th September 2021 to 13th September,2022 in pursuance of notification issued under G.O(P)No.167/2022/Co-op. dated 22nd September, 2022 and published as S.R.O No.959/2022 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.3441 dated 7th October,2022, and the period so extended also expired on 13th September, 2022. The

The Government have considered the matter in detail and are satisfied that it is necessary, in public interest, to direct that the provisions of sub- section (1A) of section 33 of said Act shall apply to the said society with certain modification and to permit the Registrar of Co-operative Societies to extend the term of the administrative committee of the said society for a further period of two years from 14th September, 2022 to13th September 2024 or till a newly elected committee enters upon office, whichever is earlier,to avoid administrative vacuum in the said society.
This order is intended to achieve the above object.
