In exercise of the powers conferred under clause(s) of section 2 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974) read with section 5 of the Kerala PoliceAct, 2011 (8 of 2011) and in supersession of the notification issued under G.O. Kerala hereby declare that the building bearing No. 426-A, Ward No. VI in Alakode Grama Panchayath situated in Re survey No. 53/1B of Alakode Village in Taliparamba Taluk of Kannur District shall be a Police Station known as "Alakode Police Station".

Explanatory Note

(This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general purport.)

A new building has been constructed for housing Alakode Police Station.

Government have decided to shift Alakode Police Station to the newly constructed building bearing No. 426-A, Ward No. VI in Alakode Grama Panchayath situated in Re survey No. 53/1B of Alakode Village in Taliparamba Taluk of Kannur District.

The notification is intended to achieve the above object.
