WHEREAS, the Government of Kerala have appointed Shri Suresh Babu Thomas, Advocate, Roll No. K/439/1979, Koduvathu House, Kollad P.O., Kottayam as Special Public Prosecutor for the conduct of Prosecution in Crime No. 621/2021 of Mannanchery Police Station, as per notification issued under G.O.(Rt.) No. 3467/2022/Home dated 7th December, 2022 and published as S.R.O. No. 1183/2022 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No. 4162
2dated 7th December, 2022;
AND WHEREAS, the Government have decided to revoke the appointment of Shri Suresh Babu Thomas, Advocate as Special Public Prosecutor for the conduct of prosecution in the above mentioned case;
NOW THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred under sub - section (8) of section 24 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974) read with sub-rules (2), (3) and (4) of rule 11 of the Kerala Government Law Officers (Appointment and Conditions of Services) and Conduct of Cases Rules, 1978, and in supersession of the notification issued under G.O. (Rt.) No. 3467/2022/Home dated 7th December, 2022 and published as S.R.O. No. 1183/2022 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No. 4162 dated 7 th December, 2022, the Government of Kerala hereby appoint Shri P.P. Harris, Advocate, Roll No. K/486/1990, A1 Rohini Apartments, Ayyanthole P.O., Thrissur-680 003, as Special Public Prosecutor for the conduct of prosecution in Crime No. 621/2021 of Mannanchery Police Station, on payment of fees prescribed in item 10 of rule 32 of the Kerala Government Law Officers (Appointment and Conditions of Services) and Conduct of Cases Rules, 1978.

Explanatory Note
(This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general purport.)
Government considers it necessary to revoke the appointment of Shri Suresh Babu Thomas, Advocate as Special Public Prosecutor, who was appointed vide notification published as S.R.O. No. 1183/2022 for the conduct of prosecution in Crime No. 621/2021 of Mannanchery Police Station and have decided to appoint Shri P.P. Harris, Advocate, Roll No. K/486/1990, A1 Rohini Apartments, Ayyanthole P.O., Thrissur-680 003, as Special Public
3Prosecutor for the conduct of prosecution in the said case on payment of fee prescribed in item 10 of rule 32 of the Kerala Government Law Officers (Appointment and Conditions of Services) and Conduct of Cases Rules, 1978.
The notification is intended to achieve the above object.
