WHEREAS, under sub-section (1) of Section 33 of the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act, 1969(21 of 1969), the term of an administrator or an administrative committee appointed to manage the affairs of a society shall not exceed one year in the aggregate:
2AND WHEREAS, the said term of one year of the administrator appointed under sub-section (1) of section 33 of the said act to manage the affairs of Vandoor Block Agricultural Marketing and Processing Co-operative Society Limited. No.M.511 in Malappuram District expired on 20th March,2019;
AND WHEREAS, under sub-section (1A) of Section 33 of the said Act, the Government may, by notification in the Gazette, for reasons to be recorded, permit the Registrar of Co-operative Societies to extend the term of the said administrator or administrative committee for a further period not exceeding one year in the aggregate or till a newly elected committee enters upon office which ever is earlier;
AND WHEREAS ,the term of the Administrator of the said society was extended for a further period from 21st March 2019 to 20th March 2022 in pursuance of the notification issued under G.O.(P) NO.45/2022/CO-OP dated 2nd April 2022 and published as S.R.O.No.513/2022 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary NO.1694 dated 25th may 2022 and the period so extended also expired on 20th March 2022.
AND WHEREAS the Registrar of Co-operative Societies has reported that election to the Board of Directors of the extended said society could not be conducted within the period and has requested to permit him to extend the term of the administrator of the said society for a further period of three years from 21st March 2022 to 20th March 2025 or till a newly elected committee enters upon office,whichever is earlier to avoid administrative vacuum in the said society;
AND WHEREAS, the Government have examined the matter in detail and are satisfied that it is necessary, in public interest, to direct that the provisions of sub section (1A) of section 33 of the said act shall apply to the said society with certain modifications and to permit the Registrar of co-operative societies to extend the term of
3the administrator appointed to manage the affairs of the said society for a further period of three years from 21st March 2022 to 20th March 2025 or till a newly elected committee enters upon office,whichever is earlier;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub section 101 of the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act, 1969 (21 of 1969), the Government of Kerala hereby direct that the provisions of sub-section (1A) of Section 33 of the said Act, shall apply to the Vandoor Block Agricultural Marketing and processing Co-operative Society Limited. No.M.511 in Malappuram District with the modification of substituting the words "Four years" for the word "one year" and in exercise of the powers under sub- section (1A) of Section 33 of the said Act, as so modified permit the Registrar of co- operative societies to extend the term of the administrator appointed to manage the affairs of the Vandoor Block Agricultural Marketing and Processing Co-operative Society Limited No.M.511 for a further period of three years from 21st March 2022 to 20th March 2025 or till a newly elected committee enters upon office,whichever is earlier to avoid administrative vacuum in the said society.

Explanatory Note
(This does not form part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general purport.)
The term of administrative committee appointed under sub-section (1) of section
433 of the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act, 1969 (21 of 1969),to manage the affairs of the Vandoor Block Agricultural Marketing and Processing Co-operative Society Lirnited No.M.511 in Malappuram District expired on 20th March, 2019. The term of the administrative committee extended further for a period from 21st March, 2019 to 20th March, 2022 in pursuance of notification issued under G.O.(P)No.45/2022/Co-op. Dated 2nd April, 2022 and published as S.R.O. No.513/2022 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.1694 dated 25th May, 2022 and the term so extended also expired on 20th March, 2022. The Registrar of Co-operative Societies has reported that the election to the Board of Directors of the said society could not be conducted within the extended period and has requested to extend the term of the administrative committee for a further period of three years from 21st March, 2022 to 20th March, 2025 or till a newly elected committee enters upon office, whichever is earlier to avoid administrative vacuum in the said society. The Government have considered the matter in detail and are satisfied that it is necessary,in public interest, to permit the Registrar of Co-operative societies to extend the term of the administrative committee appointed to manage the affairs of the said society for a further period of three years from 21 st March, 2022 to 20th March, 2025 or till a newly elected committee enters upon office, whichever is earlier to avoid administrative vacuum in the said society.
This order is intended to achieve the above object
