WHEREAS, under sub-rule (1) of rule 183 of the Kerala Co-operative Societies Rules, 1969, a candidate for appointment by direct recruitment must have completed eighteen years and must not have completed forty years of age
2on the first day of January of the calendar year in which the applications for appointment are invited. Provided that the upper age limit shall be raised by five years in the case of candidates belonging to any of the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe and by three years in the case of candidates belonging to any of the Other Backward Classes;
AND WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Azhikode Edavilangu Fishermen Development Welfare Co-operative Society (Limited) No.F(R) 11/87/CZ - under the Fisheries Department in Thrissur District has resolved to request the Government to exempt the said society from the provisions of sub- rule (1) of rule 183 of the Kerala Co-operative Societies Rules, 1969, for the purpose of appointing Smt.Kala M.P., whose date of birth is 25th May, 1980 as Secretary and Smt.Preetha M.N., whose date of birth is 9th May, 1969 as attender in the said society, taking into consideration of their service in the said society;
AND WHEREAS, the Registrar of Co-operative Societies has forwarded the proposal and recommended to Government to exempt the said society from the provisions of sub-rule (1) of rule 183 of the said Rules, for the limited purpose of appointing Smt.Kala M.P. as secretary and Smt.Preetha M.N. as attender in the said society, taking into consideration of their service in the said society;
AND WHEREAS, the Government have examined the matter in detail and are satisfied that it is necessary to exempt the Azhikode Edavilangu Fishermen Development Welfare Co-operative Society (Limited) No.F(R)11/87/CZ - under the Fisheries Department in Thrissur District from the provisions of sub-rule (1) of rule 183 of the Kerala Co-operative Societies
3Rules, 1969, so as to enable the said society to appoint Smt.Kala M.P. as secretary and Smt.Preetha M.N. as attender in the said society;
Now, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by rule 181 of the Kerala Co-operative Societies Rules, 1969 the Government of Kerala hereby exempt the Azhikode Edavilangu Fishermen Development Welfare Co- operative Society (Limited) No.F(R)11/87/CZ-under the Fisheries Department in Thrissur District from the provisions of sub-rule (1) of rule 183 of the said Rules, so as to enable the said society to appoint Smt.Kala M.P. as secretary and Smt.Preetha M.N. as attender in the said Society, taking into consideration of their service in the said society.

Explanatory Note

This order is intended to achieve the above object.
