In exercise of the powers conferred under clause(s) of section 2of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974) read with section 5 of the Kerala Police Act, 2011 (8 of 2011) and in partial modification of the notification issued This is a digitally signed Gazette. 396/2016 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No. 1007 dated 30 th May, 2016 in so far as it relates to the location of Muzhakkunnu Police Station, the Government of Kerala hereby declare that the building bearing No. 349F, Ward No. XIV in Muzhakkunnu Grama Panchayath situated in Re survey No. 87/218, 87/217 of Muzhakkunnu Village in Iritty Taluk of Kannur District shall be a Police Station known as "Muzhakkunnu Police Station".

Explanatory Note

(This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general purport.)

A new building has been constructed for housing Muzhakkunnu Police Station.

Government have decided to shift Muzhakkunnu Police Station to the newly constructed building bearing No. 349F, Ward No. XIV in Muzhakkunnu Grama Panchayath situated in Re survey No. 87/218, 87/217 of Muzhakkunnu Village in Iritty Taluk of Kannur District. The notification is intended to achieve the above object.
