Thiruvananthapuram, S. R. O. No. 1092/2024In exercise of the powers conferred by 2nd proviso to subsection 7 of section 19 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (Central Act 30 of 2013), the Government of Kerala hereby extend the time limit in publishing the declaration as per sub-section 1 of section 19 to the Notification issued under sub-section (1) of section 11 as per G.O. (P)No.75/2020/RD dated 07th October 2020 and published in the Extra Ordinary Gazette No 2293 dated 08th October 2020, namely:- This is a digitally signed Gazette. Notification No. G.O. (P)No.75/2020/RD dated 07th October 2020 and published in the Extra Ordinary Gazette No 2293 dated 08th October 2020 has been issued in accordance with the provisions of subsection (1) of section 11 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 with regard to the acquisition of land for widening of the Kozhikode – Balusseri Road.

AND WHEREAS, the District Collector, Kozhikode has reported that as per Section 19(7) of LARR Act, 2013, the 19(1) Declaration has to be published within 12 months from the date of issuance of 11(1) Notification (preliminary notification) and the 11(1) Notification issued as per G.O. (P)No.75/2020/RD dated 07th October 2020 and published in the Extra Ordinary Gazette No. 2293 dated 08th October 2020 and extended as per G.O.(P)No.185/2021/RD dated 20th November 2021 and published in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No. 3450 dated 23rd November 2021, G.O. (P)No.105/2022/RD dated 21st March 2022 and published in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No. 944 dated 21st March, 2022, G.O.(P)No. 256/2022/RD dated 11th October, 2022 and published in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No. 3499 dated 12th October, 2022 & G.O.(P)No.106/2023/RD dated 11th April 2023 and published in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No. 1312 dated 11th April 2023 expired on 10/04/2024 and therefore requested to extend the time limit.

NOW THEREFORE, sanction is accorded to extend the time limit in publishing the Declaration for a further period of twelve months from the date of expiry of the 11(1) notification ie, 10/04/2024 by invoking the provisions contained in 2nd proviso to Section 19(7) of the LARR Act, 2013 with regard to the acquisition of land for the widening of the Kozhikode - Balusseri Road on the condition that if the 19(1) declaration is not published within the extended period then fresh land acquisition proceedings needs to be initiated.
