WHEREAS, the Government of Kerala have appointed Shri Suresh Babu Thomas, Advocate, Roll No.K/439/1979, Koduvathu House, Kalladu P.O., Kottayam-686 002 as Special Public Prosecutor for the conduct of prosecution in Crime No.37/2022 of Idukki Police Station as per the notification issued under G.O.(Rt.) No.405/2022/Home dated 15th February, 2022 and published as S.R.O.No.150/2022 in the This is a digitally signed Gazette. Authenticity may be verified through https://compose.kerala.gov.in/ 2 Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.542 dated 16th February, 2022;

AND WHEREAS, Shri Suresh Babu Thomas has submitted his resignation from conducting the prosecution of the said case and the Government have decided to accept his resignation;

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub -section (8) of section 18 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (Central Act 46 of 2023) read with sub- rules (2), (3) and (4) of rule 11 of the Kerala Government Law Officers (Appointment and Conditions of Services) and Conduct of Cases Rules, 1978 and in supersession of the notification issued under G.O.(Rt.) No.405/2022/Home dated 15th February, 2022 and published as S.R.O.No.150/2022 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.542 dated 16th February, 2022, the Government of Kerala hereby appoint Shri G.Priyadarsan Thampi, Advocate, Roll No. K/947/1994, P.G.Thampi Associates, Rajashilpi, District Court Ward, Alappuzha-688001, as Special Public Prosecutor for the conduct of prosecution in Crime No. 37/2022 of Idukki Police Station on payment of fee prescribed in item 10 of rule 32 of the Kerala Government Law Officers (Appointment and Conditions of Service) and Conduct of Cases Rules, 1978.

Explanatory Note

The Government have decided to accept the resignation of S hri Suresh Babu Thomas, Advocate as Special Public Prosecutor from conducting the prosecution in Crime No. 37/2022 of Idukki Police Station and have decided to appoint Shri G.Priyadarsan Thampi, Advocate, Roll No. K/947/1994, P.G.Thampi Associates, Rajashilpi, District Court Ward, Alappuzha 688001, as Special Public Prosecutor for the conduct of prosecution in the said case on payment of fee prescribed in item 10 of rule 32 of the Kerala Government Law Officers (Appointment and Conditions of Service) and Conduct of Cases Rules, 1978.

The notification is intended to achieve the above object.
