In exercise of the powers conferred under clause (u) of section 2 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (Central Act 46 of 2023) read with section 5 ofthe Kerala Police Act, 2011 (8 of 2011) and in partial modification of the notification issued under G. O. (Rt.) No. 16/2016/Home dated 4th January, 2016 and published as S.R.O. No. This is a digitally signed Gazette. Authenticity may be verified through https://compose.kerala.gov.in/

2 20/2016 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No. 49 dated 8 th January, 2016 in so far as it relates to the location of Chithara Police Station, the Government of Kerala hereby declare that

the building bearing No. IV/599-A in Chithara Grama Panchayath situated in Survey No. 204/25 of Chithara Village in Kottarakkara Taluk of Kollam District shall be a Police Station known as 'Chithara Police Station'.

Explanatory Note

(This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general purport.)

A new building has been constructed for housing Chithara Police Station. Government have decided to shift the Chithara Police Station to the newly constructed building bearing No. IV/599-A in Chithara Grama Panchayath situated in Survey No. 204/25 of Chithara Village in Kottarakkara Taluk of Kollam District.

This notification is intended to achieve the above object.
