Sub:—Election to the Finance Committee as per Item Nos. (c), (d) and (e) under sub-section (2) of Section 31 of the Calicut University Act, 1975.

NOTIFICATION

WHEREAS, it has become necessary to reconstitute the Finance Committee of the University of Calicut, in accordance with the provisions of the Calicut University Act, 1975, it is hereby notified that an election will be held according to the principles of proportional representation by means of single transferable vote and in accordance with the procedure laid down in the Statutes on Election to elect one member each from the membersof the Senate, the Syndicate and the Academic Council as per item Nos. (c), (d) and (e) under sub-section (2) of Section 31 of the Calicut University Act, 1975. This is a digitally signed Gazette. Authenticity may be verified through https://compose.kerala.gov.in/

2 The following schedule for the conduct of election to the Finance Committee is therefore

notified as per Statute 34 of the Calicut University (Conduct of Election to various Authorities or Bodies) First Statutes, 1975:

Date of Notification	28-11-2024
Last date of receipt of Nominations	16-12-2024, 3 p.m.
Date and Hour for scrutiny of nominations and publication of the list of validly nominated candidates	17-12-2024, 11 a.m.
Last date and hour for withdrawal of candidature	23-12-2024, 11 a.m.
Date of publication of the final list of candidates	23-12-2024, 3 p.m.
Date of despatch of Ballot Paper	On or before 27-12-2024
Date and hour fixed for the poll (the Ballot Paper should reach the Returning Officer)	13-1-2025, 5 p.m.
Date and hour fixed for scrutiny and counting of votes (in the Senate House)	14-1-2025, 10 a. m.

Nomination paper in the prescribed form can be had free of cost from the Registrar and Returning Officer, on application by an elector whose name is in the Electoral Roll. The nomination paper shall reach the Returning Officer, the University of Calicut, Calicut University P. O. or cause to be deposited in the box specifically provided for the purpose in the Office of the Returning Officer within the date and hour fixed.
