WHEREAS, under subsection (1) of section 33 of the Kerala Cooperative Societies Act, 1969 (21 of 1969), the term of an administrator or an administrative committee appointed to manage the affairs of a society shall not exceed one year in the aggregate;
2AND WHEREAS, the said term of one year of the administrator appointed under subsection (1) of section 33 of the said Act to manage the affairs of the Malappuram Vanila Ulpadana Vipanana Cooperative Society Limited. No. M 718 in Malappuram District expired on 3rd March 2024;
AND WHEREAS, under subsection (1A) of section 33 of the said Act, the Government may, by notification in the Gazette, for reasons to be recorded, permit the Registrar of Cooperative societies to extend the term of the said administrator or administrative committee appointed for a further period not exceeding one year in the aggregate or till a newly elected committee enters upon office, whichever is earlier;
AND WHEREAS, the Registrar of Cooperative Societies has reported that the election to the Board of Directors of the said society could not be conducted within the extended period and has requested to permit him to extend the term of the administrator of the said society for a further period of one year from 4 th March, 2024 to 3rd March, 2025 or till a newly elected committee enters upon office, whichever is earlier, to avoid administrative vacuum in the said society;
AND WHEREAS, the Government have examined the matter in detail and are satisfied that it is necessary, in public interest, to permit the Registrar of Cooperative Societies to extend the term of the Administrator appointed to manage the affairs of the said society for a further period of one year from 4th March, 2024 to 3rd March, 2025 or till a newly elected committee enters upon office, whichever is earlier;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by Sub section (1A) of Section 33 of the Kerala Cooperative Societies Act, 1969 (21 of 1969), the Government of Kerala hereby permit the Registrar of Cooperative Societies to extend the term of the Administrator appointed to manage the affairs of the Malappuram Vanila Ulpadana Vipanana Cooperative Society Limited. No. M 718 in Malappuram
3District for a further period from 4th March 2024 to 3rd March, 2025 or till a newly elected committee enters upon office, whichever is earlier, to avoid administrative vacuum in the society.

Explanatory Note
(This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general purport.)
The term of the administrator appointed to manage the affairs of the Malappuram Vanila Ulpadana Vipanana Cooperative society Limited. No.M 718 in Malappuram District under subsection (1) of section 33 of the said Act expired on 3rd March 2024.
The Registrar of Cooperative societies has reported that the election to the said society could not be conducted within the extended period and has requested to extend the term of the administrator of the said society for a further period of one year from 4th March, 2024 to 3rd March, 2025 or till a newly elected committee enters upon office, whichever is earlier, to avoid administrative vacuum in the said society. The Government have examined the matter in detail and are satisfied that it is necessary, in public interest, to permit the Registrar of Cooperative Societies as per subsection (1A) of section 33 of the Kerala Cooperative societies Act, 1969 (21 of 1969), to extend the term of the administrator appointed to manage the affairs of the said society for a further period of one year from 4th March, 2024 to 3rd March, 2025 or till a newly elected committee enters upon office, whichever is earlier, to avoid administrative vacuum in the said society.
This notification is intended to achieve the above object.
