Applications are invited from the owners of Auto rickshaws powered by LPG/LNG/CNG/Electric for granting new city permits in Kochi Corporation limit in Ernakulam District.
Mode of Application — Offline
Application forms are available in all Regional/Sub Regional
Transports Offices in Ernakulam District.
No. of permit Available — 3000 Number As per G. O. (P) No. 41/2018/Trans
dated 22-11-2018 in which
* electric powered A/R - 2000
* LPG/LNG/CNG -1000
Eligibility — As Decided by the RTA Ernakulam Order No. G4/11372/2019/E
dtd. 17-8-2024.
(1) No person other than a registered society or KMRL shall be
entitled to more than one permit either electrically operated or
otherwise.
(2) The vehicles allotted under this scheme shall ordinarily be
stationed in any of the approved auto rickshaw stands in the
city or at the owner's premises.
(3) Every driver of the auto rickshaw issued with city permit shall
wear the name plate on the right chest of the uniform worn by
him while on duty.
(4) No vehicle which has attained more than 7 years of age shall
be entitled to allotment of Cochin city permit under this scheme
of the Government.
