Thiruvananthapuram, S. R. O. No. 59/2025In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 25 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (Central Act 30 of 2013), the Government of Kerala hereby extend the time limit in publishing the Award as per Section 25 to the Declaration issued under subsection (1) of Section 19 as per G.O.(P)No.1/2024/RD dated 03rd January 2024 and published in the Extra Ordinary Gazette No. 6 dated 03rd January 2024 namely:- This is a digitally signed Gazette. As per G.O.(P)No.1/2024/RD dated 03rd January 2024 and published in the Extra Ordinary Gazette No. 6 dated 03rd January 2024, the Declaration in accordance with the provisions of subsection (1) of Section 19 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 with regard to the acquisition of 2.0755 Hectares of land in Varkala village of Thiruvnathapuram district for the construction of Varkala Bypass has been issued.

AND WHEREAS, the District Collector, Thiruvananthapuram has reported that as per Section 25 of LARR Act, 2013 mentions that the Collector shall make an Award within a period of 12 months from the date of issuance of 19(1) Declaration i.e, the 19(1) Declaration issued as per G.O. (P)No.1/2024/RD dated 03rd January 2024 and published in the Extra Ordinary Gazette No. 6 dated 03rd January 2024 expired on 02/01/2025, and therefore requested to extend the time limit in publishing the Award.

NOW THEREFORE, sanction is accorded to extend the time limit in publishing the Award for a further period of 6 months from the date of expiry of the 19(1) Declaration ie. 02/01/2025 by invoking the provisions contained in Section 25 of the LARR Act, 2013 with regard to the acquisition of 2.0755 Hectares of land in Varkala village of Thiruvnathapuram district for the construction of Varkala Bypass.

(This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general purport) G.O.(P)No.1/2024/RD dated 03rd January 2024 and published in the Extra Ordinary Gazette No. 6 dated 03rd January 2024, has been issued in accordance with the provisions of subsection (1) of section 19 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition,Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 with regard to the acquisition of 2.0755 Hectares of land in Varkala village of Thiruvnathapuram district for the construction of Varkala Bypass. As per Section 25 of LARR Act, 2013 mentions that the Collector shall make an Award within a period of 12 months from the date of issuance of 19(1) Declaration i.e, the 19(1) Declaration issued as per G.O.(P)No.1/2024/RD dated 03rd January 2024 and published in the Extra Ordinary Gazette No. 6 dated 03rd January 2024 expired on 02/01/2025 and hereby extend the time limit for publishing the Award.

The notification is intended to achieve the above object.
