2 ExtensionG.O.(P)No.168/2023/RD dated 10th July 2023 and published in the Extra Ordinary Gazette No. 2282 dated 11th July 2023 has been issued in accordance with the provisions of sub-section (1) of section 11 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 with regard to the acquisition of land in Pallichal and Balaramapuram villages of Thiruvananthapuram district for the construction of rail connectivity from Vizhinjam International Seaport to Balaramapuram Railway Station.
AND WHEREAS, the District Collector, Thiruvananthapuram has reported that as per Section 19(7) of LARR Act, 2013 mentions that the 19(1) Declaration has to be published within 12 months from the date of issuance of 11(1) Notification (preliminary notification) and that the 11(1) Notification issued as per G.O.(P)No.168/2023/RD dated 10th July 2023 and published in the Extra Ordinary Gazette No. 2282 dated 11th July 2023 and extended as per G.O.(P)No. 183/2024/RD dated 14th August 2024 and published in the Extra Ordinary Gazette No. 2671 dated 17 th August 2024 expired on 11/01/2025 and therefore requested to extend the time limit for publishing the 19(1) Declaration.
NOW THEREFORE, sanction is accorded to extend the time limit in publishing the declaration for a further period of six months from the date of expiry of the 11(1) Notification ie, 11/01/2025 by invoking the provisions contained in 2nd proviso to Section 19(7) of the LARR Act, 2013 with regard to the acquisition of land in Pallichal and Balaramapuram villages of Thiruvananthapuram district for the construction of rail connectivity from Vizhinjam International Seaport to Balaramapuram Railway Station, subject to the condition that no more extension be granted under any circumstances.
