In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 31A of the Travancore – Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955 (XII of 1955), the Government of Kerala being of the opinion that it is necessary in public interest so to do, hereby specify that the period for submitting application for condoning delay in filing returns, forms, annualstatements, accounts and other statements of a society on payment of a fine as mentioned in This is a digitally signed Gazette. Explanatory Note

(This does not form part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general purport.)

Government have implemented one time settlement scheme for condonation of the delay in filing of returns, forms, annual statements, accounts and other statements of a society on payment of specified amount of fine in respect of delay in filing any or all of the same by amending the Travancore - Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955 (XII of 1955), through the Kerala Finance Act, 2023 (17 of 2023). Government as per the order issued under G.O.(P) No.64/2023/TAXES dated 9th May, 2023, and published as S.R.O. No.569/2023 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No. 1589 dated 9th May, 2023 specified that the period for availing the benefit of the said one time settlement scheme would be upto 31st March, 2024. Accordingly, the time limit for availing this benefit ended on 31st March, 2024. Now, the Government have decided to specify that the period for availing the benefit of the said one time settlement scheme will be from the date of this order to 31st March, 2025.

The order is intended to achieve the above object.
