NOTIFICATION
G.O (P) No. 1/2025/DD S. R. O. No. 80/2025
Dated, Thiruvananthapuram, 24 th January, 2025 11 th Makaram, 1200 WHEREAS, under sub-section (1) of section 33 of the Kerala Co- operative Societies Act, 1969 (21 of 1969) the term of an administrator or an administrative Committee appointed
2to manage the affairs of the society shall not exceed one year in the aggregate;
AND WHEREAS, the said term of the administrator appointed under sub-section (1) of section 33 of the said Act to manage the affairs of Chettukuzhy Ksheerolpaadaka Sahakarana Sangham Limited No. I. 62 (D) APCOS in Idukki District expired on 13 th July, 2024;
AND WHEREAS, under sub section (1A) of section 33 of the said Act, the Government may, by notification in the Gazette, for reasons to be recorded, permit the Registrar of Co- operative Societies to extend the term of the said Administrator or Administrative Committee for a further period not exceeding one year in the aggregate or till a newly elected committee enters upon office, whichever is earlier;
AND WHEREAS, the Director of Dairy Development Department who is also the Registrar of Co - operative Societies (Dairy) has reported that the continuance of the administrator is absolutely necessary since the amalgamation process of the said society is ongoing and has requested to extend the term of the administrator for a further period of six months from 14th July, 2024 to 13th January, 2025 or till the amalgamation process of the said society will complete, whichever is earlier, to avoid administrative vacuum;
AND WHEREAS, the Government have considered the matter in detail and are satisfied that it is necessary, in public interest, to permit Director of Dairy Development Department who is also the Registrar of Co-operative Societies (Dairy) to extend the term of the Administrator appointed to manage the affairs of the said society for a further period of six months from 14th July, 2024 to 13th January, 2025 or till the amalgamation process of the said society will complete, whichever is earlier, to avoid administrative vacuum;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 101 of Kerala Co- operative Societies Act, 1969 (21 of 1969), the Government of Kerala hereby permit Director of Dairy Development Department who is also the Registrar of Co-operative Societies (Dairy) to extend the term of the Administrator appointed under section 33 of the said Act to manage the affairs of the Chettukuzhy Ksheerolpaadaka Sahakarana Sangham Limited No. I. 62 (D) APCOS in Idukki District for a further period of six months from 14th July, 2024 to 13th
3January, 2025 or till the amalgamation process of the said society will complete, whichever is earlier, to avoid administrative vacuum.

Explanatory Note
(This does not form part of the notification but it is intended to indicate its general purport.)
The term of the Administrator appointed to manage the affairs of Chettukuzhy Ksheerolpaadaka Sahakarana Sangham Limited No. I. 62 (D) APCOS in Idukki District under sub-section (1) of section 33 of the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act, 1969 (21 of 1969) expired on 13th July, 2024. The Director of Dairy Development Department who is also the Registrar of Co-operative Societies (Dairy) has reported to Government that as the amalgamation process is ongoing in the said society it would be beneficial to extend the term of the part time administrator of the said Society for a further period of six months from 14th July, 2024 to 13th January, 2025 to avoid administrative vacuum. The Government have considered the matter in detail and are satisfied that it is necessary in public interest to permit Director of Dairy Development Department who is also the Registrar of Co- operative Societies (Dairy) to extend the term of the part time administrator appointed to manage the affairs of the said society for a period of six months from 14th July, 2024 to 13th January, 2025 or till the amalgamation process of the said society will complete, whichever is earlier, to avoid administrative vacuum.
This notification is intended to achieve the above object.
