In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) subsection(1) of section 9 of the Kerala Stamp Act, 1959 (17 of 1959), the Government of Kerala, being of the opinion that, it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby remit the stamp duty chargeable under the said Act for the registration of conveyance of 73 Ares of land comprised in Re-Survey No.352/3 and 371/8 in Block

Explanatory Note
(This does not form part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general purport.) The Managing Director, Kerala State Information Technology Infrastructure Ltd. (KSITIL) has requested the Government to grant exemption from payment of stamp duty required for the registration of conveyance of 73 Ares of land comprised in Re-Survey No.352/3 and 371/8 in Block No.20 of Vallichira Village in Meenachil Taluk in Kottayam District owned by the Kerala State Information Technology Infrastructure Ltd. (KSITIL) to the Indian Institute of Information Technology( IIIT-K) Pala. Government have examined the matter in detail and have decided to allow the request in public interest.
The order is intended to achieve the above object.
