WHEREAS, the Government of Kerala have appointed Shri N.K. Unnikrishnan, Advocate, Roll No. K/257/1983, Aswathy, Opp.Collectorate, Ayyanthole, Thrissur-680 003 as Special Public Prosecutor for the conduct of prosecution in Crime No. 586/2022 of Kadavanthra Police Station and Crime No. 789/2022 of Kalady Police Station as per notification issued under G.O.(Rt.) No. 93/2023/Home dated 12th January, 2023 and published as S.R.O. No. 68/2023 in the Kerala Gazette
2Extraordinary No.148 dated 13th January, 2023;
AND WHEREAS, Shri N.K. Unnikrishnan has submitted his resignation from the engagement as Special Public Prosecutor in the above said cases;
AND WHEREAS, the Government have appointed Shri V.N. Anilkumar, Advocate, Roll No. K/2446/1985, House No. 14, Polassery Lane, P.J.Antony Road, Palarivattom, Kochi-682 025, as Special Public Prosecutor for the conduct of prosecution in Crime No. 586/2022 of Kadavanthra Police Station and Crime No. 789/2022 of Kalady Police Station as per notification issued under G.O.(Rt.) No. 1576/2024/Home dated 5th June, 2024 and published as S.R.O. No. 497/2024 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.1808 dated 7th June, 2024;
AND WHEREAS, Shri V.N. Anilkumar has submitted his resignation from the engagement as Special Public Prosecutor in the above said cases;
AND WHEREAS, the Government have decided to terminate the service of Shri V.N. Anilkumar, Advocate as Special Public Prosecutor in the above said cases and have decided to appoint Shri V. Ajakumar, Advocate as Special Public Prosecutor in the said cases;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section (8) of section 18 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (Central Act 46 of 2023) read with sub-rules (2), (3) and (4) of rule 11 of the Kerala Government Law Officers (Appointment and Conditions of Service) and Conduct of Cases Rules, 1978, and in supersession of the notification issued under G.O.(Rt.) No. 1576/2024/Home dated 5th June, 2024 and published as S.R.O. No. 497/2024 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.1808 dated 7th June, 2024, the Government of Kerala hereby appoint Shri V. Ajakumar, Advocate, Roll No. K/442/1983, TC 27/1819(2), Vasidhnavam, Vanchiyoor P.O., Thiruvananthapuram – 695 035 as Special Public Prosecutor for the conduct of prosecution in Crime No. 586/2022 of Kadavanthra Police Station and Crime No. 789/2022 of Kalady Police Station on payment of fees prescribed in item 10 of rule 32 of the Kerala Government Law Officers (Appointment and Conditions of Service) and Conduct of Cases Rules, 1978.

3Explanatory Note
(This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general purport.) Government considers it necessary to terminate the service of Shri V.N. Anilkumar, Advocate, Roll No. K/2446/1985, House No. 14, Polassery Lane, P.J.Antony Road, Palarivattom, Kochi-682 025, as Special Public Prosecutor from the conduct of prosecution in Crime No. 586/2022 of Kadavanthra Police Station and Crime No. 789/2022 of Kalady Police Station and have decided to appoint Shri V. Ajakumar, Advocate, Roll No. K/442/1983, TC 27/1819(2), Vasidhnavam, Vanchiyoor P.O., Thiruvananthapuram – 695 035, who is having the requisite qualification as Special Public Prosecutor for the conduct of prosecution in the said cases on payment of fees prescribed in item 10 of rule 32 of the Kerala Government Law Officers (Appointment and Conditions of Service) and Conduct of Cases Rules, 1978.
The notification is intended to achieve the above object.
