NOTIFICATION

WHEREAS, under sub-section (1) of section 33 of the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act, 1969 (Act 21 of 1969) the term of an administrator or an administrative committee appointed to manage the affairs of the society shall not exceed one year in the aggregate;
AND WHEREAS, the said term of one year of the administrator appointed under sub-
2section (1) of section 33 of the said Act, to manage the affairs of Puliyanmala Ksheerolpadaka Sahakarana Sangham Ltd. No. I 171 (D) APCOS in Idukki District expired on 30th November, 2024;
AND WHEREAS, under sub-section (1A) of section 33 of the said Act, the Government may, by notification in the Gazette, for reasons to be recorded, permit the Registrar of Co-operative Societies to extend the term of the said administrator or administrative committee for a further period not exceeding one year in the aggregate or till a newly elected committee enters upon office, whichever is earlier;
AND WHEREAS, the Director, Department of Dairy Development who is also the Registrar of Co-operative Societies has reported that the election to the Board of Directors of the said society could not be conducted within the above said period and has requested Government to permit him to extend the term of the administrator of the said Society for a further period of four months and twenty three days from 1st December, 2024 to 23rd April, 2025 or till a newly elected Committee enters upon Office, whichever is earlier to avoid administrative vacuum in the said Society;
AND WHEREAS, the Government have considered the matter in detail and are satisfied that it is necessary, in public interest, to permit the Registrar of Co-operative Societies (Dairy) to extend the term of the administrator appointed to manage the affairs of the Puliyanmala Ksheerolpadaka Sahakarana Sangham Ltd. No. I 171(D) APCOS for a further period of four months and twenty three days from 1st December, 2024 to 23rd April, 2025 or till a newly elected committee enters upon office, whichever is earlier, to avoid administrative vacuum in the said Society;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (1A) of section 33 of Kerala Co-operative Societies Act, 1969 (Act 21 of 1969), the Government of Kerala hereby permit the Registrar of Co-operative Societies (Dairy) to extend the term of the administrator appointed to manage the affairs of Puliyanmala Ksheerolpadaka Sahakarana Sangham Ltd. No. I 171 (D) APCOS in Idukki District for a further period of four months and
3twenty three days from 1st December, 2024 to 23rd April, 2025 or till a newly elected committee enters upon office, whichever is earlier, to avoid administrative vacuum in the said Society.

Explanatory Note
(This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general purport.)
The term of the administrator appointed under sub-section (1) of section 33 of the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act, 1969 (21 of 1969) to manage the affairs of Puliyanmala Ksheerolpadaka Sahakarana Sangham Ltd. No. I 171 (D) APCOS in Idukki District expired on 31st May, 2024. The term of the administrator of the said Society was extended for a further period of six months from 1st June, 2024 to 30th November, 2024. The Director, Department of Dairy Development who is also the Registrar of Co-operative Societies (Dairy) has reported that the election to the Board of Directors of the said Society could not be conducted within the above said period and has requested Government to permit him to extend the term of the administrator of the said Society for a further period of four months and twenty three days from 1st December, 2024 to 23rd April, 2025 or till a newly elected Committee enters upon Office, whichever is earlier to avoid administrative vacuum in the said Society. The Government have considered the matter in detail and are satisfied that it is necessary in public interest to permit the Registrar of Co- operative Societies (Dairy) to extend the term of the administrative committee appointed to manage the affairs of the said Society for a further period of four months and twenty three days from 1st December, 2024 to 23rd April,
42025 or till a newly elected committee enters upon office, whichever is earlier to avoid administrative vacuum in the said society;
This notification is intended to achieve the above object.
