3പ്രസ്തുത കേമമ്മീഷലന കേക്കാലെക്കാവധവി 2025 നവഗംബർ 11-ാക്കാഗം തമ്മീയതവി അവസക്കാനവിചതവിനക്കാല്‍, രണപ മക്കാസതവിനുള്ളവില്‍ അകനക്വഷണഗം പൂർതവിയക്കാകവി റവികപക്കാർട്ടപ സമർപവികണലമന്ന വഭ്യവസ്ഥകയക്കാലട കേമമ്മീഷലന കേക്കാലെക്കാവധവി 2025 നവഗംബർ 12 മുതല്‍ രണപ മക്കാസകതകപ നമ്മീട്ടുവക്കാനുഗം അതവിനക്കായവി എസപ.ആർ.ഒ. നമ്പർ 578/2023 ആയവി പ്രസവിദ്ധമ്മീകേരവിച വവിജക്കാപനഗം കഭദഗതവി ലചെയ്യുവക്കാനുഗം സർകക്കാർ തമ്മീരുമക്കാനവിച.
കമല്‍പറഞ്ഞ ആവശഭ്യഗം നവിറകവറ്റുന്നതവിനു ഉകദ്ദേശവിചലകേക്കാണ്ടുള്ളതക്കാണപ ഈ വവിജക്കാപനഗം.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Commissions of Inquiry Act, 1952 (Central Act 60 of 1952), the Government of Kerala hereby make the following amendment to the notification issued under No.HomeSSA2/58/2023Home, dated 12th May, 2023 and published as S.R.O. No.578/2023, in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.1643 dated 12th May, 2023 appointing a three member Commission of Inquiry under the Chairmanship of Shri V.K.Mohanan (Retired High Court Judge) to inquire into a definite matter of public importance, namely, the causes that led to the boat accident at Thoovaltheeram Beach,Tanur in Tirur Taluk, Malappuram District on 07th May, 2023 and measures to be taken to avoid such disasters in future, namely:
AMENDMENT
In the said notification, in the third paragraph, for the words "within thirty months" the words "within thirty two months" shall be substituted.

5Explanatory Note
(This does not form the part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general purport.)
Government of Kerala have appointed a three member Commission of Inquiry under the Chairmanship of Shri V. K. Mohanan [(Retired High Court Judge) Valiyaparambil House, House No.7/252C, Thiruvathira, Ambadimukku, Kakkanad, Kochi20] as Chairman to inquire into a definite matter of public importance, namely, the causes that led to the boat accident at Thoovaltheeram Beach,Tanur in Tirur Taluk, Malappuram District on 07th May, 2023 and measures to be taken to avoid such disasters in future, as per notification issued under No.Home SSA2/58/2023Home dated 12th May, 2023 and published as S.R.O. No.578/2023, in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.1643 dated 12th May, 2023. As the term of office of the said Commission expired on 11th November, 2025, Government have decided to extend the term of office of the Commission for a period of two months from 12th November, 2025, subject to the condition that the inquiry shall be completed and report should be submitted within the said period, and consequently amend the notification published as S.R.O No.578/2023.
The notification is intended to achieve the above object.
