section 6 of the Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972 (Central Act 53 of 1972) and in supersession of the notification issued under G.O.(P)No.5/2022/F&WLD dated 2nd February, 2022 and published as S.R.O.No.115/2022 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.403 dated 4th February, 2022, the Government of Kerala herebyThis is a digitally signed Gazette. Explanatory Note

( This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general purport )

As per sub-section (1) of section 6 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972 ( Central Act 53 of 1972 ), the State Government had reconstituted the State Board for Wildlife, as per notification issued under G.O.(P)No.5/2022/F&WLD dated 2nd February, 2022 and published as S.R.O.No.115/2022 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.403 dated 4th February 2022. The term of office of the members of State Board for Wildlife reconstituted as per the said notification expired on 1st February, 2025 as per rule 3 of the Kerala Wildlife (Protection) Rules, 1978.

Hence, Government have decided to reconstitute the State Board for Wildlife.

The notification is intended to achieve the above object.
