In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of the Prevention ofCorruption Act 1988 (Central Act 49 of 1988) and in supersession of the notification issued under G. O. (Rt.) 2 S. R. O. No. 601/2024 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No. 2215 dated 09th July 2024, the Government of Kerala hereby appoint Sri. Hafees Mohammed, District Judge as

Special Judge (SPE/CBI)-II/ Additional District Judge – IV (NIA Court), Ernakulam in place of Sri. N. Seshadrinathan, with effect from the date on which he assumes charge as such to try offences under the Prevention of Corruption Act 1988 (Central Act 49 of 1988) and other offences under the section 3 of the Delhi Special Police Establishment Act, 1946 (Central Act 25 of 1946) investigated by the Delhi Special Police Establishment/Central Bureau of Investigation.

Explanatory Note

(This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general purport.

As part of transfer and postings of Judicial Officers in the District Judiciary, the High Court has proposed to appoint Sri. Hafees Mohammed, District Judge as Special Judge (SPE/CBI)-II/Additional District Judge IV (NIA Court), Ernakulam in place of Sri. N. Seshadrinathan and has requested the Government to issue order and notification effecting the appointment as proposed. Government have accepted the proposal of the High Court.
