Sub:- Notification u/s 12(1) of BNSS – Extension of jurisdiction of Special Court of Judicial Magistrate of the First Class, for the trial of cases under section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act,1881 at Kollam ('24 x 7 ON Court') over entire Kollam District- Notification issued- reg.

Ref:- OM No. D7A(1)-39863/2021/DII-1 dated 20.12.2025 of the Hon'ble High Court of Kerala. This is a digitally signed Gazette. Authenticity may be verified through https://compose.kerala.gov.in/ 2 In exercise of the powers conferred under section 12(1) of The Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, the undersigned do hereby define the area noted below in

column No.2 of the schedule within which the designated officer mentioned in column No.1 of the schedule may exercise all the powers provided by law in respect of cases instituted u/s 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act,1881 or any powers within which he/she has been invested by the Hon'ble High Court of Kerala with effect from 01.01.2026.

The Hon'ble High Court of Kerala has informed vide Official Memorandum referred above that the Hon'ble High Court has decided to extend the jurisdiction of '24X7 ON Court' at Kollam to the whole district of Kollam in respect of cases instituted u/s 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 in the Kollam District, from 01.01.2026.
