WHEREAS, the Government of Kerala have appointed Shri Joseph Mathew, Advocate, Roll No.K/37/1990, District Government Pleader and Public Prosecutor then, Wayanad, Kalpetta as Special Public Prosecutor for the conduct of prosecution in Crime No.128/2016 of Kenichira Police Station on condition that no remuneration shall be paid by the Government in this regard, as per notification issued under G.O.(Rt.) No.590/2022/Home dated 3rd March, 2022 and published as S.R.O.
2No.217/2022 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.758 dated 7th March, 2022;
AND WHEREAS, Shri Joseph Mathew has submitted his resignation from the engagement as Special Public Prosecutor in the above said case;
AND WHEREAS, the Government have decided to accept the resignation of Shri Joseph Mathew, Advocate, Special Public Prosecutor in the above said case and have decided to appoint Shri Shyju Manisseril, Advocate as Special Public Prosecutor in the said case;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section (8) of section 18 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (Central Act 46 of 2023) read with sub-rules (2), (3) and (4) of rule 11 of the Kerala Government Law Officers (Appointment and Conditions of Service) and Conduct of Cases Rules, 1978, and in supersession of the notification issued under G.O.(Rt.) No.590/2022/Home dated 3rd March, 2022 and published as S.R.O. No.217/2022 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.758 dated 7th March, 2022 the Government of Kerala hereby appoint Shri Shyju Manisseril, Advocate, Roll No. K/325/2000, MGT Buildings, Kalpetta North P.O., Wayanad District - 673122, as Special Public Prosecutor for the conduct of prosecution in Crime No.128/2016 of Kenichira Police Station on payment of fees prescribed in item 10 of rule 32 of the Kerala Government Law Officers (Appointment and Conditions of Service) and Conduct of Cases Rules,1978.

Explanatory Note
(This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general purport.) The Government have decided to accept the resignation of Shri Joseph Mathew, Advocate, Roll No.K/37/1990, Special Public Prosecutor for the conduct of prosecution in Crime No.128/2016 of Kenichira Police Station and have decided to appoint Shri Shyju Manisseril, Advocate, Roll No. K/325/2000, MGT Buildings, Kalpetta North P.O., Wayanad District - 673122, who is having the requisite qualification as Special Public Prosecutor for the conduct of prosecution
3in the said cases on payment of fees prescribed in item 10 of rule 32 of the Kerala Government Law Officers (Appointment and Conditions of Service) and Conduct of Cases Rules,1978
The notification is intended to achieve the above object.
