WHEREAS, the Government have appointed Shri P.S.Sreedharan Pillai, Advocate, 3rd floor, Metro Plaza, Market road, Kochi - 682014 as Special Public Prosecutor for the conduct of prosecution in Crime No.304/2008 of Kasaragod Police Station as per notification issued under G.O.
2(Rt.)No.3738/2013/Home dated 9th December, 2013 and published as S.R.O.No.1013/2013 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.3602 dated 28th December, 2013;
AND WHEREAS, Government have decided to revoke the appointment of Shri P.S.Sreedharan Pillai from conducting the prosecution of the said case;
AND WHEREAS, Government have appointed Shri Joseph Thomas, Advocate, Roll No.K.63/87, Pranavam, Thiruthiyad, Calicut-4 as Special Public Prosecutor in Crime No.304/2008 of Kasaragod Police Station as per notification issued under G.O. (Rt.)No.1702/2021/Home dated 18th June, 2021 and published as S.R.O.No.473/2021 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.1873 dated 25th June, 2021;
AND WHEREAS, Shri Joseph Thomas has submitted his resignation from the engagement as Special Public Prosecutor in the above said case;
AND WHEREAS, the Government have accepted the resignation submitted by Shri Joseph Thomas, Advocate as Special Public Prosecutor in the above said case and have decided to appoint Shri P.Premarajan, Advocate as Special Public Prosecutor in the said case;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section (8) of section 18 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (Central Act 46 of 2023) read with sub- rules (2), (3) and (4) of rule 11 of the Kerala Government Law Officers (Appointment and Conditions of Service) and Conduct of Cases Rules, 1978, and in supersession of the notification issued under G.O. (Rt.) No.1702/2021/Home dated 18th June, 2021 and published as S.R.O.No.473/2021 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.1873 dated 25th June, 2021, the Government of Kerala hereby appoint Shri P.Premarajan, Roll No.K/2571/1999, "Deeptham", Kavumbhagam Post, Thalassery, Pin- 670 649, Kannur District, as Special Public Prosecutor for the conduct of prosecution in Crime No.304/2008 of Kasargod Police Station on payment of fees prescribed in item 10 of rule 32 of the
3Kerala Government Law Officers (Appointment and Conditions of Service) and Conduct of Cases Rules, 1978.

Explanatory Note
(This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general purport.) Government considers it necessary to cancel the service of Shri Joseph Thomas, Advocate, Roll No.K.63/87, Pranavam, Thiruthiyad, Calicut-4 as Special Public Prosecutor from the conduct of prosecution in Crime No.304/2008 of Kasaragod Police Station and have decided to appoint Shri P.Premarajan, Roll No.K/2571/1999, Deeptham, Kavumbhagam Post, Thalassery, Pin-670 649, Kannur District, who is having the requisite qualification, as Special Public Prosecutor for the conduct of prosecution in Crime No.304/2008 of Kasargod Police Station on payment of fees prescribed in item 10 of rule 32 of the Kerala Government Law Officers (Appointment and Conditions of Service) and Conduct of Cases Rules, 1978.
The notification is intended to achieve the above object.
