WHEREAS, under rule 185A of the Kerala Cooperatives Societies Rules, 1969, the committee of a society may, with the prior approval of the Registrar, appoint persons who are technically or professionally qualified or persons with experience and expertise by way of deputation or on a contract basis for a
2specified period not exceeding five years;
AND WHEREAS, under the provisions to the said rule no such contract appointment shall be made to the posts mentioned in subrules (2), (3) and (4) of rules 185 or to any other post in any Society, which is engaged in banking business;
AND WHEREAS, the Managing Committee of the Chengalam South Service Cooperative Bank Ltd No.1016 has resolved to request the Government through the Registrar of Cooperative Societies to exempt the said Bank from the proviso to rule 185A of the Kerala Cooperative Societies Rules, 1969 for the purpose of enabling the said Bank to appoint Smt. P Geetha as Special Officer in the said Bank on contract basis for a period of two years from 25th June, 2025 on a consolidated pay of Rs.25000/ (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand only) per month considering her qualification and experience;
AND WHEREAS, the Government have examined the matter in detail and are satisfied that it is necessary to exempt the said Bank from the proviso to rule 185A of the Kerala Cooperative Societies Rules, 1969, for the purpose of enabling the said Bank to appoint Smt.P Geetha as Special Officer in Chengalam South Service Cooperative Bank Ltd No.1016 on contract basis for two years from 25th June, 2025 on a consolidated pay of Rs.25000/ (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand only) per month considering her qualification and experience;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by rule 181 of the Kerala Cooperative Societies Rules, 1969, the Government of Kerala hereby exempt the Chengalam South Service Cooperative Bank Ltd No.1016 from the
3proviso to rule 185A of the Kerala Cooperative Societies Rules, 1969, so as to enable the said Bank to appoint Smt.P Geetha as Special Officer in the said Bank on a contract basis for a period of two years from 25th June, 2025 on a consolidated pay of Rs.25000/ (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand only) per month considering her qualification and experience.

As per rule 185A of the Kerala Cooperative Societies Rules, 1969, the committee of a society may, with the prior approval of the Registrar, appoint persons who are technically or professionally qualified or persons with experience and expertise by way of deputation or on a contract basis for specified period not exceeding five years. As per the proviso to rule 185 A no such appointment shall be made in any post in any society which is engaged in banking business. The Managing Committee of the Chengalam South Service Co operative Bank Ltd No.1016 has resolved to request the Government through the Registrar of Cooperative Societies to appoint Smt P Geetha, as Special Officer on contract basis for a period of two years on terms and condition of the said Bank, considering her experience and her involvement in the Administrative Officer activities of the said bank from the beginning. The Government have examined the matter in detail and have decided to exempt the Chengalam South Service
4Cooperative Bank Ltd No.1016 from the proviso to rule 185A of the Kerala Co operative Societies Rules, 1969, for the purpose of enabling the said Bank to appoint Smt. P. Geetha as Special officer on contract basis for a period of two years from 25th June, 2025 on a consolidated pay of Rs.25000/ per month considering her qualification and experience.
This order is intended to achieve the above object.
