In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (b) of section 2 of the Kerala Public Service Commission (Additional Functions as Respects Certain Societies) Act, 1996 (5 of 1996) Government of Kerala hereby declare the Malabar Cancer Centre-Post Graduate Institute of Oncology Sciences and Research, Thalassery, an autonomous institution registered under Societies Registration Act XXI, 1860, as per Registrationnumber 309/1997 as a Society for the purpose of Kerala Public Service Commission (Additional Functions as Respects Certain Societies) Act, 1996 (5 of 1996) empowering This is a digitally signed Gazette. 2 the commission to exercise additional functions in regard to the recruitment of the

non-academic posts of Malabar Cancer Centre except Technicians—Nuclear Medicine.

Explanatory Note

(This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general purport.)

The Malabar Cancer Center—Post Graduate Institute of Oncology Sciences & Research, Thalassery (MCC) is an autonomous institution under the State Government established under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. The Government have decided to entrust the recruitment for the non-academic posts of Malabar Cancer Centre except 'Technician—Nuclear Medicine' to Kerala Public Service Commission. Accordingly Government have decided to declare Malabar Cancer Centre-Post Graduate Institute of Oncology Sciences & Research, Thalassery an autonomous institution registered under Societies Registration Act XXI, 1860, as a Society for the purpose of Kerala Public Service Commission (Additional Functions as Respects Certain Societies) Act, 1996 (5 of 1996).

The notification is intended to achieve the above object.
