WHEREAS, the Government have sanctioned the Master plan for Kayamkulam Town under sub-section (8) of section 36 of the Kerala Town and Country Planning Act, 2016 (Act 9 of 2016) as per G.O. (Ms.) No. 8/2020/LSGD. dated 4th January, 2020 and notice intimating the fact ofThis is a digitally signed Gazette. Authenticity may be verified through https://compose.kerala.gov.in/

sanction of the said Master Plan was published as Reference No. LSGD-RD2/16/2020-LSGD.

AND WHEREAS, the Government, as per notification issued under G.O.(Ms.) No.166/2023/LSGD. dated 23rd September, 2023 and published as S.R.O.No. 1022/2023 in Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No. 3138 dated 25th September, 2023 have sanctioned the variation of the said Plan;

AND WHEREAS, it is required further to vary the said Master Plan for Kayamkulam Town for the purpose of making certain provisions of the Zoning Regulations of the said plan compatible with the present development scenario to the extent possible as an immediate measure, until the plan is varied after detailed studies;

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 50 of the Kerala Town and Country Planning Act, 2016 (9 of 2016), the Government of Kerala hereby proposes to issue a notification varying the said master plan for Kayamkulam Town, to the extent required, a draft of which is appended as required under the proviso to sub- section (3) of section 50 of the said Act;

Notice is hereby given that the said draft will be taken up for the consideration on or after 60 days from the date of publication of notice in Form - VIII in the Kerala Gazette as prescribed under sub-rule (2) of rule 25 of the Kerala Town and Country Planning (Preparation and Sanctioning of the Master Plan) Rules 2021, and any person or authority concerned with, interested or affected by the proposed notification shall submit his/her/their objections or suggestions, if any, in writing to the Principal Secretary to Government, Local Self Government Department, Government Secretariat, Thiruvananthapuram 695001, on or before the period specified above. Copy of the draft variation will be available at the website of Kayamkulam Municipality and at the office of the Secretary, Kayamkulam Municipality for inspection during office hours.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 50 of the Kerala Town and Country Planning Act, 2016 (9 of 2016), the Government of Kerala hereby proposes further to vary the Master plan for Kayamkulam Town sanctioned under sub-section (8) of section 36 of the said Act, as per order issued under G.O.(Ms.) No. 8/2020/LSGD. dated 4th January, 2020 and notice of sanction published as Reference No. LSGD-RD2/16/2020-LSGD. namely:-

VARIATION

In the said plan, in "ANNEX- I ZONING REGULATIONS", in the table, under "14 Industrial Zone", in column (2), under the heading "Uses Permitted", after the entry "Additions and alterations to the existing buildings including construction of new block", the following entry shall be inserted, namely:-

"Residences or hostels incidental to industrial use."
