E - Auction Sale of Sandalwood Notification

No: E-3953/2026 Date: 13.08.2026 The following quantities of cleaned sandalwood chips stacked and stored at Government Sandal Depot in Marayoor Range are offered for sale by e-auction on 02.09.2026 (Wednesday) at the Government Sandal Depot, Marayoor. Those who registered for auction with MSTC Company only can have the right to participate in e-auction. Further details can be had from the website www.mstcecommerce.com or 09946473645. (Marayoor is situated at Munnar-Udumalpet road 42 Kms North East of Munnar and 45 Kms South West of Udumalpet). The sale is conducted in accordance with the sale conditions published in Kerala Gazette No. 2, Volume IV Dated 13.01.2015 vide notification No: Pro-(4)-54954/14 Dated 23.12.2014 of the Addl. Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Protection), Thiruvananthapuram. The general sale conditions which are applicable have been published in Kerala Gazette No 36, Volume III dated 16.09.2014 vide notification No. Pro(4)-29243/2013 dated 21.08.2014, Kerala Gazette No. 43, Volume III dated 04.11.2014 vide notification No. Pro(4)-29243/2013 dated 17.10.2014.

Schedule

The Divisional Forest Officer, Marayoor Sandal Division reserves all the right to exclude or include any class or quantity of sandalwood shown in the schedule above for sale. EMD amount of Rs. 50,000/- is to be paid for each auction and it can be remitted through online payment system to MSTC till 06.00 PM on the previous day of the e- auction. The buyer registration number has to be mentioned while paying the EMD.

For the benefit of the bidders who are not well versed with online transactions Range Forest Officer, Marayoor will entertain receipt of EMD in the form of Demand Draft payable at State Bank of India, Marayoor Branch drawn in favor of Range Forest Officer, Marayoor as was done in the old system, till 02.00 PM on the previous day of e- auction. Only the registered customers who submit the EMD will be able to participate against the eligible lots in e-auction. The Forest Department will not be responsible for any inconvenience or loss to the Bidder while uploading/ downloading the bid. If the sale value of bid material is not paid within the specified time period against any of the bid lot by the successful bidder, the EMD will be forfeited.

Failing to the above condition, the bidder will be treated as defaulter and necessary action will be initiated against him as per the law and sale condition.

The Department will not be responsible for any shortage in weight due to driage after the grace period of 40 days. For this purpose, on the 40th day the weight will be taken and accounted and this weight will be reckoned as final weight irrespective of further driage and payment will be charged against such weights.

If any modifications or changes in the sale conditions intimated by the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Forest Management), Thiruvananthapuram will also be applicable to this e-auction sale and it will be informed to the bidder before e-auction.

The undersigned reserves the right to alter the quantities of sandal materials mentioned in the above schedule or to cancel the e-auction of any sandal material without further notice. If the e-auction is not taken place on the scheduled date it will be conducted on 03.09.2026 (Thursday).

E-AUCTION NOTIFICATION

KFDDO/51997/2026-NSCKLDY/A Dated: 06.08.2026 In 2011, a Hanging Bridge approximately 60 meters long was constructed under the Kalady Nature Study Centre Division, extending from the Mulankuzhi (Perumthode) area in Malayattoor to Vempooram Island in the middle of the Periyar River.On August 2013, following heavy rainfall and the subsequent opening of the Idamalyar Dam shutters, the Periyar River experienced intense currents. Uprooted trees and debris washed away by the strong flow collided with the Hanging Bridge, causing the iron cables anchoring it to snap, which resulted in the bridge's collapse. The metal parts and materials salvaged from the collapsed suspension bridge have since been kept safely in the premises of the Perumthode Forest Station under the Malayattoor Forest Division. The metal components of the said Hanging Bridge will be sold via e-auction through MSTC, subject to existing auction terms and government orders. Individuals interested in participating in the e-auction must register on the website www.mstcecommerce.com.

The successful bidder must pay the auction amount along with applicable taxes—including GST, Income Tax, Forest Development Tax, and other relevant statutory taxes as per the prevailing rules—on the day of the auction itself. വിജയിയായ ലേലക്കാരൻ നിലവിൽ ഉളള നിരക്കിൽ ചരക്കുസേവന നികുതി, വനവികസന നികുതി, വരുമാന നികുതി എന്നിവയും ഒടുക്ക­േതാണ്. ലേലം സ്ഥിരപ്പെടുത്തി അറിയിക്കുന്ന തീയതി മുതൽ 40 ദിവസത്തിനകം ബാക്കി തുകയും ആകെ തുകയുടെ 5 % വന വികസന നികുതിയും, നിലവിലുളള നിരക്കിൽ ചരക്കുസേവന നികുതി, വരുമാന നികുതി എന്നിവകളും ഒടുക്ക­േതാണ്. 40 ദിവസത്തിനുളളിൽ ടി തുകകൾ ഒടുക്കാതിരുന്നാൽ 18 % പലിശയോടുകൂടി ആദ്യത്തെ ഒരുമാസത്തേയ്ക്കും 24% പിഴപലിശയും അതിന്മേൽ 2.5 % സർചാർÖോടുകൂടി 2- മാസത്തേയ്ക്കും 36% പിഴപലിശയും അതിന്മേൽ 5 % സർചാർÖോടുകൂടി 3- മാസത്തേയ്ക്കും കാലാവധി, യുക്തം പോലെ കോതമംഗലം ഡിവിഷണൽ ഫോറസ്റ്റ് ഓഫീസർക്ക് അനുവദിക്കാവുന്നതാണ്.

കഴകളും വിറകും സ്ഥലത്ത് നിന്നും നീക്കം ചെയ്യുന്നതിനുളള ലൈസൻസ് നൽകുന്നത്, ലേലതുകയും നികുതികളും പൂർണ്ണമായും അടച്ചതിന് ശേഷം മാത്രമായിരിക്കും. നിലവിലുള്ള നിയമങ്ങളും ബാധകമായിരിക്കും. യാതൊരു കാരണവശാലും സ്ഥാവര ജംഗമ വസ്തുക്കൾക്കോ, മറ്റ് മരങ്ങൾക്കോ നാശനാഷ്ടങ്ങൾ വരുത്താൻ പാടില്ല. അങ്ങനെ ഉ­ാകുന്ന പക്ഷം നഷ്ടത്തിന് കരാറുകാരൻ ഉത്തരവാദി ആകുന്നതാണ്. കുറ്റകൃത്യങ്ങൾ ശ്രദ്ധയിൽപ്പെട്ടാൽ വിവരം വനം വകുപ്പ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരെ അറിയിക്ക­േതാണ്. ഇതിൽ വീഴ്ച വരുത്തിയാൽ കരാർ റദ്ദാക്കപ്പെടുന്നതാണ്.
