In exercise of the powers vested with it, under Section 23, 'Other Members' (c), (d) and (e) of the Kannur University Act 1996, Government have decided to review and change the Government nominations of the Syndicate of Kannur University

In pursuance of the Government orders read as (2) and (3) above, and in exercise of powers conferred under Section 23 – Other Members (c), (d) and (e) of the Kannur University Act, 1996, the Government have withdrawn the nominations of the Government nominees holding office in the Syndicate of the University, as specified in Column (3) and have nominated the persons specified in Column (4) in their place w.e.f 16.07.2026.
The newly nominated members shall hold office in the Syndicate subject to the provisions contained in the Kannur University Act, 1996.

2. Erratum G.O (P) No.28/2026/HEDN dated.30.07.2026, from Govt, Higher Education (B) Dept., Thiruvananthapuram.
1. As per paper read (1) above, Syndicate of Kannur University was re-constituted by nominating 10 members under Section 23 - Other members (c), (d), (e) of Kannur University Act, 1996 and one member under the field "Principals of Colleges affiliated to University" was kept vacant.
2. Government, as paper read (2) above, nominated Prof. Abdul Jaleel P.K, Principal and Professor of Arabic, DIA College, Thalassery to that vacancy.
3. Sl. No 5 & 8 of the Notification referred (1) above is also corrected, as shown below, as per the Government order referred (2) above.
