2 ExtensionProceedings No.K3/546811/23 dated 10th April 2025 and published in the Extraordinary Gazette No.1460 dated 11th April 2025 has been issued in accordance with the provisions as per sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (Central Act 30 of 2013) with regard to the acquisition of 48.91 Ares of land in Kowdiar, Kudappanakkunnu and Peroorkkada villages of Thiruvananthapuram District for the development of Ambalamukku-Santhwana Hospital Junction.
AND WHEREAS, the District Collector, Thiruvananthapuram has informed that as per section 14 of LARR Act, 2013 where a preliminary notification under sub-section (1) of section 11 is not issued within twelve months from the date of appraisal of the Social Impact Assessment report submitted by the Expert Group under section 7, then, such report shall be deemed to have lapsed and a fresh Social Impact Assessment shall be required to be undertaken prior to acquisition proceedings under section 11. The date of appraisal of the Social Impact Assessment report by the Expert Group under section 7 was submitted on 07-08-2025 and the Notification under sub-section (1) of section 11 needs to be issued on or before 06-08-2026.
NOW, THEREFORE, sanction is accorded to extend the time limit for a further period of six months from 07-08-2026 in publishing the Notification under sub-section (1) of section 11 by invoking the provisions contained in 1st proviso to section 14 of LARR Act, 2013 with regard to the acquisition of 48.91 Ares of land in Kowdiar, Kudappanakkunnu and Peroorkkada villages of Thiruvananthapuram District for the development of Ambalamukku-Santhwana Hospital Junction.

Explanatory Note
(This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general purport.) Proceedings No.K3/546811/23 dated 10th April 2025 and published in the Extraordinary Gazette No.1460 dated 11th April 2025 has been issued in accordance with the provisions of sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (Central Act 30 of 2013) with regard to the acquisition of 48.91 Ares of land in Kowdiar, Kudappanakkunnu and Peroorkkada villages of Thiruvananthapuram District for the development of Ambalamukku-Santhwana Hospital Junction. As per section 14 of LARR Act, 2013 where a preliminary notification under sub-section (1) of section 11 is not issued within twelve months from the date of appraisal of the Social Impact Assessment report submitted by the Expert Group under section 7, then, such report shall be deemed to have lapsed and a fresh Social Impact Assessment shall be required to be undertaken prior to acquisition proceedings under section 11.
