Subject: Addendum to Notification No.: LA (Trm)/Homestay/2023/(53)/3748-55 [SG-LD-E-22102023-

1267], dated 22 October 2023 and subsequent Addendum to Ladakh Gazette SG-LD-E-24072024-1336, dated

24 July, 2024.

1. Section 12.2 'Fiscal Incentive of Rs.1.25 lakh toward the Construction of Winter Friendly Flush Toilet' is de- linked from the other incentives and is made an optional incentive for the beneficiaries. However, an undertaking shall be submitted by the beneficiary to forego the fiscal incentive for construction of winter friendly flush toilet.

2. Under Section 12.1 'Non-Fiscal Incentive', a new item is added, as below:

29.	Thap (01 Nos)	Traditional local heating and cooking device, which is a biomass-burning stove used for heating and cooking, which uses brushwood, dried animal dung or other biomass materials as fuel.

3. With the abovementioned addition, the eligible beneficiary under the Ladakh Homestay Policy 2023 can opt for either S. No. 23 (Washing Machine) or S. No. 29 (Thap).

4. All other terms and conditions of the Ladakh Homestay Policy 2023 would remain unchanged and continue to be in effect.

Undertaking

'Undertaking to Forego the Incentive on Construction of Winter Friendly Flush Toilet'

I, Sh./Smt. _____________________________________ Son/ Daughter/ Wife of _________________________ Village _________________________________ Police Station ___________________________________________ Post Office ________________________________________________ District _________________________________ do hereby declare that I am eligible for fiscal incentive towards the 'Construction of Winter Friendly Flush Toilet' under the provisions of the Ladakh Homestay Policy 2023. However, I voluntarily choose to forego this incentive as it would not be feasible for me to construct or maintain the 'Winter Friendly Flush Toilet' in view of the extreme cold and freezing in winter in my native place. And I further undertake that I shall not claim any subsidy on this item in future from the Government under the New Ladakh Homestay Policy.
