Notification
Ladakh, the 02nd of May, 2025
S.O. 51. In exercise of the powers conferred by S.O. 282 (E) dated: 21.01.2020, the Lieutenant Governor of Union territory of Ladakh, hereby makes the following rules, to further amend the Union Territory of Ladakh Rural Development (Subordinate) Services Recruitment Rules, 2021, (hereinafter referred to as the said Rules), notified vide S.O. 72 dated 17.12.2021.
1. Short Title and Commencement: — (1) These rules may be called the Union Territory of Ladakh Rural Development (Subordinate) Services Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2025.
(2) These rules shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. Amendment to Schedule - II(B): — The Schedule II(B) to the said Rules shall be substituted by the following Schedule, namely: —

| Level-6 (35400-112400) | Panchayat Inspector G-II | 100% by promotion from VLW / MPW having not less than (05) years of substantive service in that category in the following manner: - 75% from General Seniority of VLWs / MPWs; 20% from Graduate VLWs / MPWs; and 5% from VLWs / MPWs with post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development from Recognized University / Board provided that where sufficient number of eligible persons in this feeding category is not available, the balance posts will go to (b) above. | |
| Level-6 (35400-112400) | Mukhya Sevika | 100% promotion from Gram Sevika, having not less than five (05) years of substantive service in that category in the following manner: - a) 75% from General Seniority of Gram Sevika; b) 20% from Graduate Gram Sevika; and c) 5% from Gram Sevika with post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development from Recognized University / Board provided that, where sufficient number of eligible persons in this feeding category are not available, the remaining posts will go to (b) above. | |
| Level -2 (19900-63200) | Village Level Worker (VLW) / Multi-Purpose Worker (MPW) | 10+2 | a) 70% by direct recruitment; and b) 30% by promotion from Mirabs with minimum qualification of matric and having not less than five (05) years substantive service in that category. |
| Level -2 (19900-63200) | Gram Sevika | 10+2 | a) 70% by direct recruitment; and (b) 30% by promotion from female Mirabs with minimum qualification of matric and having not less than five (05) years substantive service. |
| Level-SL 1 (14800-47100) | Mirabs | Minimum Matric & Maximum 10+2 | 100% by direct recruitment. |
