Notification

Ladakh, the 9th of March, 2026.

S.O. 162.— In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (2) of Section 41 and sub-section (1) of Section 42 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, read with S.O. 818(E) dated: 08.11.1985 issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India; the Administration of Union territory of Ladakh hereby empowers:

i) Deputy Superintendents of Ladakh Police for the purposes of sub-section (2) of Section 41 of the said Act and,

ii) All Police Officers of and above the rank of Head Constable of Ladakh Police for the purposes of Section 42(1) of the said ActBy order of Lieutenant Governor, UT of Ladakh. LADAKH GAZETTE : EXTRAORDINARY 2
