Ladakh, the 31st of March, 2026.

S.O. 171 .— In exercise of the powers conferred by the sub-section (3) of Section 176 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, read with S.O. 2506 (E) dated: 28.06.2024 issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India; the Administration of Union territory of Ladakh hereby notify that with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the official gazette, the officer(s) in-charge of every Police Station, on receipt of every information relating to the commission of an offence which is made punishable for seven years or more, cause the forensic expert to visit the crime scene to collect forensic evidence in the offence and also cause videography of the process on designated mobile phone/ tablet or other electronic deviceBy order of the Lieutenant Governor, Union territory of Ladakh.
