NOTIFICATION

Ladakh, the 19th of May, 2026

S.O. 193, — In exercise of the powers conferred by section 60 of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Act, 1997 as applicable to the Union Territory of Ladakh, read with S.O. 3912 (E) of 2019, dated 30.10.2019, Ministry of Home Affairs, the Administration of Union Territory of Ladakh hereby makes the following rules to amend the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council of Leh (Finance & Accounts) Rules, 1996 and the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council of Kargil (Finance and Accounts) Rules, 2003 (hereinafter collectively referred to as the "Principal Rules"), namely:—

1. Short title and commencement. — (1) These Rules may be called the LAHDCs Finance & Accounts (Amendment) Rules, 2026.

(2) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. LADAKH GAZETTE : EXTRAORDINARY 2 2. Amendment of Rule 2. — In Sub-clause (iii) of Clause (a), of Rule 2 of the Principal Rules, shall be substituted by the following, namely:-

"Administrative Department" means the "Planning, Development & Monitoring Department, Union

Territory of Ladakh".

3. Amendment of Rule 10. — In Rule 10 of the Principal Rules, for the words, "Government in the Ladakh Affairs Department", the words "Administration in Planning, Development & Monitoring Department, Union Territory of Ladakh" shall be substituted.

4. Saving. —

Nothing contained in these rules shall affect anything done or any action taken under the Principal Rules so amended prior to the commencement of these rules.
