NOTIFICATION
Ladakh, the 9th June, 2026.
S.O. 202 Whereas, vide Notification SRO-135 dated 26th February, 2019, the following two sites;
1. Chiktan khar (District Kargil).

were declared to be the protected monuments within the meaning of the Ancient Monuments, Preservation Act, Samvat, 1977; and
Whereas, objections were invited by the Government within a period of two months as required under sub- section (2) of Section 3 of the said Act to the aforesaid declaration, but no objections were received in this regard.
Now, therefore, the Administration of Union Territory of Ladakh in pursuance of sub-section (3) of Section 3 of the Ancient Monuments Act, Samvat, 1977, in its application to the Union territory of Ladakh Vide S.O. 3775(E) of 2020 dated 23.10.2020, hereby confirms the notification SRO 135 of 2019 dated 26th February 2019.
