Ladakh, the 4th day of August, 2026
S.O.229 In exercise of the powers conferred by the S.O 282(E) dated 21.01.2020, issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, the Lieutenant Governor of Union Territory of Ladakh hereby makes the following rules to further amend in the Union Territory of Ladakh Forest (Wildlife) (Subordinate) Service Recruitment Rules, 2021, notified vide S.O. 59 dated 25.04.2022 as amended vide S.O. 55 dated 10.07.2024 (hereinafter referred to as the "said Rules") namely: - 1. Short title and commencement. - (1) These rules may be called the Union Territory of Ladakh Forest (Wildlife) (Subordinate) (Second Amendment) Service Recruitment Rules, 2026.
(2) These rules shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Amendment to Schedule-II (B) - A provision shall be inserted providing 20% reservation for Ex- Agniveers under the direct recruitment quota for the Group 'C' post of Wildlife Guard, subject to fulfilment of theLADAKH GAZETTE : EXTRAORDINARY 2 prescribed eligibility conditions and in accordance with the instructions/guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, as adopted by the Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh.
Ladakh Forest (Wildlife) (Subordinate) (Second Amendment) Service Recruitment Rules, 2026.
| Level -2 (19900-63200) | Wildlife Guard/Anti- poaching Guard | 10+2 or equivalent qualification with two or more of the following subjects: i. Mathematics ii. Physics iii. Chemistry iv. Biology. Physical Standards as follows; i) Height: Male:- Minimum 162 cms. Female:- Minimum 152 cms. ii) Physical fitness- 25 kms walk to be completed in Four (04) hours. Physical Fitness Certificate from Chief Medical Officer. | 85% by Direct Recruitment. reservation for Ex-Agniveers under i. 20% direct recruitment quota. This shall be provided, subject to fulfilment of the prescribed eligibility criteria and production of valid discharge/service certificates issued by the competent military authority. 15% by promotion amongst the Orderly/ Chowkidars with (03) three years substantive service as orderly/chowkidar/ and possessing physical standard prescribed for direct recruitment. Provided that if the post of Orderly/Chowkidar is vacant for a period of more than (03) three years, the said post shall be filled by direct recruitment. |
