Notification
Ladakh, the 25th of August, 2026
S.O. 252 — In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 4 of the Union territory of Ladakh Road Safety Council Act, 2018, as amended from time to time and in supersession of all earlier notifications/orders issued in this behalf, the Administration of Union territory of Ladakh hereby constitutes the "Lead Agency", comprising of the following, to act as the Secretariat of the "Ladakh Road Safety Council" and to perform the functions under the said Act; namely:-

| 2. | Inspector General of Police, Traffic, Union territory of Ladakh (or representative not below the rank of SSP) | Member |
| 3. | Regional Transport Officer, Union territory of Ladakh. | Member-Secretary |
| 4. | Executive Engineer, Public Works (Roads and Buildings) Department, Leh/Kargil. | Member(s) |
| 5. | Additional/Deputy/Under Secretary, Transport Department. | Member |
| 6. | Assistant Director (P&S), Transport Department. | Member |
The Lead Agency shall function from the office and under overall control of the Administrative Secretary, Transport Department (Member-Secretary, Union territory of Ladakh Road Safety Council).
