NOTIFICATION
F.No. 8/9/2016 - RTO :- In accordance to the instructions of Supreme Court Committee on Road Safety, New Delhi, the Administrator of the Union Territory of Lakshadweep hereby constitutes State Road Safety Council with the members as under :
1. Secretary (Road Transport) - Chairman 2. Superintendent of Police - Member 3. Superintending Engineer, LPWD - Member 4. Director of Health Services - Member 5. Director of Education - Member 6. Director (Road Transport) - Member Secretary.
Also, the Department of Road Transport is designated as lead agency to deal with all matters related to Road Safety in the Union Territory of Lakshadweep.
This issues with the approval of Hon'ble Administrator vide Diary No. 3547 dated 07-12-2016.

F.No. 9/6/2016 - DOP(PE)(2)/2 :- Whereas the final population figures as per the census of India, 2011 in respect of the Union Territory of Lakshadweep has been published :
Now, therefore, the Administrator, Union Territory of Lakshadweep in exercise of the powers conferred by Sub section (2) of Section 8 of Lakshadweep Panchayats Regulation, 1994 and in supersession of the notification F.No.9/3/2005-DOP(PE) (2) dated 10th May, 2006 except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, hereby determine and notify the number of seats to be filled by persons chosen by direct election from territorial constituencis in th District Panchayat, in the Union Territory of Lakshadweep as specified in column (4) of the table below with reference to the population as per 2011 census indicated against the respective entry in column (3) thereof : ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sl.
