NOTIFICATION
F.No.66/33/2019-E&F (P&L) :- Whereas, the Union Territory Admnistration prohibited 13 Nos. Single -Use Plastic by exercise of the powers confirmed under section -3, 6 and 25 of Environment (Protection) Act 1986 (29 of 1986), under Sub section (e), (zf) of Rule, 15 of Solid Waste Management Rules 2016 and Sub section (1) (a), (b), (c), (e) and Sub section 2 of section 82 of Lakshadweep Panchayat Regulation Act, 1994, vide Extra Ordinary Notification F. No. 66/33/2019-E&F (P&L) dated 25.01.2019.
And whereas the Single -Use Plastic make immense potential to pollute marine enviornment and spreads its harmful effect on marine ecosystem, biodiversity and potentially human health.
NOW, therefore, in continuation of the Extra Ordinary Notification F. No. 66/33/2019-E&F(P&L) dated 25.01.2019 and in exercise of the powers conferred under section-3,6 and 25 of Enviornment (Protection) Act 1986 (29 of 1986), under Sub Section (e), (zf) of Rule,15 of Solid Waste Management Rules 2016 and Sub Section (1) (a), (b), (c), (e) and Sub section 2 of section 82 of Lakshadweep Panchayat Regulation Act, 1994. The Union Territory of Lakshadweep Prohibiting 10 more items of Single-Use Plastic is as below:
(1) Plastic and plastic coated sacs/bags for filling cement, sand & metals etc. (2) Single Use plastic cutleries/ stirrers/spoon/ fork, bowls etc. (3) Plastic garbage bags (4) PVC flex materials (5) Plastic packets/plastic sachet, plastic folders, trays, etc. (6) Plastic flowers, plastic flower pot (7) Plastic brooms (8) Plastic/Synthetic shade net used for fencing (9) Plastic/Synthetic mat/door mat (10) Plastic seedling grow bags
This notification shall come with effect from 15th April 2021 in all Islands includes 2 THE LAKSHADWEEP GAZETTE EXTRAORDINARY GOVERNMENT OF INDIA LAKSHADWEEP ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT OF FOOD, CIVIL SUPPLIES AND CONSUMER AFFAIRS

NOTIFICATION
F.No.25/3/2017-FCS/172 :- The Administrator, Union Territry of Lakshadweep is pleased to permit Shri. T.F. Hussain, (Date of Birth 25-03-1961), Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Scieties, Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Kavaratti to retire from Govenment Service on Superannuation on the Afternoon of 31-03-2021 under Rule 74(a) of the CCS (Pension) Rule 1972, Accordingly, the Officer will stand relieved from his duties on the afternoon of 31-03-2021.
This issue with the approval of Hon'ble Administrator, Union Territory of Lakshadweep vide Diary No. 2097, date 21.01.2021.
