NOTIFICATION
F.No. 2/4/2007-Services(1)/685 :- In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 20 (1) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (2 of 1974) read with Notification No. S.O. 183 (E) dated 20th March, 1974 of the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi, the Administrator Union Territory of Lakshadweep is pleased to appoint Shri. Tapdiya Shrikant Rajendraprasad, DANICS, Deputy Collector cum CEO South as Executive Magistrate with jurisdiction in the Minicoy Island and islet around the Minicoy Island. He will exercise all or any of the powers exercisable by an Executive Magistrate under the said code.
The Administrator is also pleased to specially empower him to exercise the powers specified under Section 107, 108, 109, 110, 133, 143, 144, 174 & 176 of the said code. This Notification shall have effect from the date on which the officer takes over charge as Deputy Collector cum CEO South (Minicoy Island) and remains till such period the officer holds the charge of Deputy Collector cum CEO South (Minicoy Island).
This issues with the approval of Hon'ble Administrator, vide Diary No.104 dated 31-03-2021.

He will exercise all or any of the powers exercisable by an Executive Magistrate under the said code.
The Administrator is also pleased to specially empower him to exercise the powers specified under Section 107, 108, 109, 110, 133, 143, 144, 174 & 176 of the said code. He will exercise all or any of the powers exercisable by an Executive Magistrate under the said code.
The Administrator is also pleased to specially empower him to exercise the powers specified under Section 107, 108, 109, 110, 133, 143, 144, 174 & 176 of the said code. This Notification shall have effect from the date on which the officer takes over charge as Deputy Collector cum CEO East (Andrott and Kalpeni Island) and remains till such period the officer holds the charge of Deputy Collector cum CEO East (Andrott and Kalpeni Island).
